1103: I am here and ready ready for this. Oh yea, it's Killzone time in less than an hour. Let's see if we get any real gameplay off it.
1125: Got about 35 minutes left till the show floor opens. Lets hope all goes cool.
1148: Making our webpage a little easier to Navigate for users trying to read articles.
1155: GET HYPED. NO SOUND. But Killer Instinct was up for a second!
1200: Taking their time. That's fine, s'pose. I've waited almost a decade+ for KI, I can wait a few more mins.
1202: Music down, starting up!
1202: Hi Chris Waters. FILTHYR1CH (Soul Cal hype machine.) Verfaillie talking about how happy the FGC is. Talking about Maxamilian's tears.
1204: Double Helix has its heels in stuff like SF, Skullgirls and other not-awful fighters.
1205: Showing us the new sticks that you'll have to buy because LOL XB1.
1206: Talking basics. Mechanics. Combos, obviously. Openers, linkers, doubles and enders like the old system, but more open combo routes.
1206: 50/50. Keep roots but also modernize. Talking about standard flavor fluff taking this methodolgy into it.
1207: Yago. Shush Waters. Shush.
1208: Keeping the line up quiet. Glacius will be fully playable at EVO.
1208: They want some feedback on what you like and hate. Sounds legit. Blow it up SRK so we don't get any shitty characters.
1209: Free to Play Model outline. R1CH says it's a misconception. They want it to be a massive demo. All single player content available. Different editions will be released. Have to buy other characters. There's also a full version with all the characters. Think League of Legends-like.
1210: I can get behind the no-barrier to entry angle. They want to keep accessibility with execution like the old KI. Expect autocombos. Training mode will have lessons. 40+ maybe.
1212: Questions about zoning: They're going to implement balance, rush-down and grappler archetypes, at least. Jago is a a shoto/balance, Sabrewolf is a rushdown. Basically, they're getting away from KI2's all rushdown lineup. (Can confirm that shit actually happened.
1213: Ultra cancels confirmed. ARCSYS people get excited.
1214: Instinct Mode: Basically X-factor except uses meter. Cancels animations. Resets and stuff. No health-regen though. (Yes.)
1215: Combo breaker confirmed, instead of C-C-C-C-C-OMBO BREAKER. Not sure how I feel.
1216: This game looks pretty good though. Fast. Tons of freaking particles everywhere.
1217: They're not sure if they want to put in Fatalities or other fluff stuff. Go yell at them if you want it or not.
1217: Reclarifying: You can buy full version for a whole season at a single price point. There will be different editions like Collectors. The demo will include Jago with all single player and multiplayer. Afterwards, you can buy characters ala carte.
1218: Overall, game looks faster than Injustice with a lot more impact. Less bouncy and goofy. Has a good amount of visual impact mixed with a pretty robust combo system. They're definitely trying to be the League of Legends of fighting games, and frankly, I'm excited.
12:20 That being said, XB1-exclusive is a direct contradiction to this. It's kinda' tragic.
12:25 Super Time Force nowsies.
12:25: Death isn't a negative reinforcement. It's more of a... mechanic.
12:28: Tirefires! Their PC broke. Getting a Xbox (not sure which one) to play it on.
12:29 XBL arcade release this year.
12:30 8-bit Contra with a rewind mechanic like it's a damn Tivo that's not a pain in the ass. Your clones also play on the same time line. Actually nuts. Oh yeah, multiple characters too! It's hard to live blog this game because it's so awesome and all over the place.
1232: Benny Hill music replays. I can't not like this.
12:33 Okay, so every time you die, you get shot back in time and have to play a different character. So many layers!
1235: Confirmed to be on a 360.
1236: These guys are also making Below. Delicioussssss.
1237: It's a lot like Contra though. Bouncy lasers, tri directional bullets. Pretty much a huge lift/homage. If you like Contra, you pretty much must play this game, honestly.
1238: Out by the end of this year.
1240: Okay, stuff about yesterday''s buttfuck known as the PS4 humping the XB1. Next game is Ryse (Ryze?): Son of Rome. Taking a toast break. NOM.
1243: So I looked at the Nintendo stream thing: Miyamoto + Commercials. We talked about some good possibility of chromosome challenged Pokemon though. (In jest, although that'd be real talk if we could get Derpy Hooves the Ponyta.)
12:45: RYSE: Son of Rome. Okay, a FPS-inspired melee game. Involves BUHBUHBARBARIANS.
12:46 Roman D-Day is the core inspiration. Battle of the bulging groins. <3
12:47 The Brits murdered your folks. You're mad as shit. You're going with your broskis to lay down some Rome justice. The idea is that it isn't a Dynsasty Warriors game, but a formation/you're part of a squad game.
12:49 Some talk about faces and emotional faces. Guys jumping off the beach and crapping all over people. Okay, this game actually looks quite impressive. OH SHIT, ALL THESE GUYS ARE TAKING ARROWS TO THE KNEES. THEY'LL NEVER ADVENTURE AGAIN.
12:50 Quicktime events in combat.
12:51 You sword and board through most of the game, apparently. Executes (quicktime) with bonuses. It's not a scripted QTE, persay, but it's like a mini-bonus game that gives you extra damage if you get it right.
12:52 Shield walls are pretty damn dramatic though.
12:53 This game looks like a satisfying ass-kicking emulator though. I'm excited for Kinect implementation. Also, voice commands are a thing in this game.
12:54 Someone asked if you can die in this game. Are you actually shitting me? WHAT DO YOU THINK BRAH. Oh, pre-recorded footage. I hope it looks that good live though. Very engaging to see tons of beefy man steaks storm the beach with their delicious platter shields and stabbytoys.
12:56 Multiplayer in the Colosseum post launch. Maybe some smart glass stuff. XB1 exclusive. Launch title. Prepare your anus rectus.
12:57 Next up is Titanfall. Actually, okay, this iam8bit art collection is really cute.
12:58 Guy reminisces about the bullshit that was the unterwater NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game level and how it directly translates to art purchases. Protip: If everyone played your frustrating ass game, they will buy an art piece about it.
1301: Titanfall is next. Gonna biobreak.
1305: Clips of the game with talk. For people who didn't see the game footage earlier, it's Mechwarrior except you get to climb out of the mech.
1307: Not on earth. Evil corporations mine resources.
1308: They're just talking about flavor balance and stuff. More talking. No gameplay W_W. Fluidity. Customization. Yadda-yadda.
1309: Multiplayer focus.
1310: BUT it'll be on PC. Alright. I'm satisfied.
1312 Footage I saw yesterday. It's from the XB1, so I'm excited for PC's delicious master race looks.
1314: No crossplatform multiplayer for balance reasons. (I lawl'd.)
1316: Titans are like white men and cannot jump, but they can side dash like white people with jet packs.
1318: Talking about game mechanics like call-ins. Lots of mechs, lots of reinforcements, lots of easy flattery.
1320: This guy is so noncomittal, I want to shoot myself (with a mech,) Spring 2014.
1322: Lol Gamespot guy. GT6 is a PS3 game. Waiting for Knack.
1328: Knack alrighty. Starts out with cute with the power to grow just like a real boy. Can turn into Nunu.
1331 The core idea of the game is to have a character than can absorb everything. Stay Puft Marshmellow man reference. Yum. Trailer footage. 10 hour story driven adventure. Randomized. One playthrough won't offer everything, apparently.
1332: Incentives include different modes, collectibles in game, etc. Pretty general.
1333: Good question about whether the game will support dual shock 4 stuff. Basically no.
1335: Now we're talking about the PS4, but the power of technology breaking is taking over.
1337: This game is pretty much a standard entry level 3D action platformer like Crash. Launch title for PS4. Whee.
1341: Some talk about FFXV while we wait for Watch_Dogs.
1347: Streams exploded @_@.
1349: Watch Dogs. Driving a car, talking about subtle tricks to avoid cops as opposed to crazy woosh GTA gtfo status.
1350: You can hack cameras to view from their perspective to give you combat advantages while still moving around.
1351: Some form of customization, but they kinda; just want to make the main character an icon. Reading that as minimal options.
1353: Outlining the backup call system: They can help hack the city from a top down view. There will also be antagonist mode where you try to screw with your friends through the same medium like some sort of vengeful dungeon master.
1356: No long term consequences with friendly antagonists. More like a minigame. Ehhhhh.
1400: Not a lot of talk that we haven't seen from trailers, but that's fine. Some ambiguities about MP were responded to. The rest of the gameplay seems okay. Actually, the game kind of feels like a Vampire the Masquerade experience.
1402 THERE ARE NO DOGS IN WATCH DOGS. SHOW IS OVER. NO DOGS IN NOVEMBER. Tablet tie in is free, but they're toying with micro-transactions for quality of grind adjustments. Matchmaking is done through their servers, but it tries to prioritize friends.
1403: Need for Speed: Rivals is coming up.
1404: Dude, I just saw Mario Kart 8 with Toad on a fucking hovercraft that deployed a freaking hang-glider that gets wheels. This is sick as hell.
1408: Need For Speed: Rivals starts but the sound is kinda' flipping out.
1409: Runs on Frostbite 3 and definately looks like it uses it nicely. Graphically impressive as one would expect.
1411: Day night cycles, vroom vroom. Sorry, I'm mesmerized by the fact that there's a cop-race car. Also yeah, you can play a cop. I'm excited as hell to drop in on some punks.
1412: I hope the multiplayer tie in is as seamless as it looks. Simple pairings are like normal racer single player vs cop single player. You can choose to close off or open off as much of the world as you want with settings.
1414: Ferrari's back! Now you get to live your arcadey wet dreams in a car that you'll probably never afford.
1415: Demo is running on the PC. That explains a lot of deliciousness..
1417: Some weapons will be available. Pew pew, run them off the road.
1418: Video sharing is free. Cool. But won't it require MP to upload? The world may never know.
1419: Rivals is out on November 19th on current generation machines, and later on next gen.
1423: Waiting for Drive Club. Nice back to back comparison, I guess.
1428: Drive Club. One of the developers looks like White-Ra.
1428: Drive Club Playstation Plus version is actually kind of a limited version. It's like a demo, probably similar to Killer Instinct. (So I guess the 5 bucks might not Move as much [rimshot])
1429: Talking about attention to detail and other such silly stuff.
1431: DriveClub is a hybrid between arcade style and simulators like the Gran Turismo. I guess they'll make or break based off of this balance.
1433: Media sharing, more ghosting, face off is an asynchronous challenge with people you're connected to with ladder-style match making.
1434: Just reminded me that there's no RIIIIIIIIDDGE RACER on launch.
1435: The game is not going to be a static launch according to the devs, but one that gets updates and evolves over time. Basically, I guess they'll try to balance it, somehow.
1446-48: Mad Max: We are using this title as down time as not much interest was generated on it last night. If you'd like info, please visit the E3 page on e3insider.com for more info on it. We will be waiting for Assassin's Creed IV. Thank you for letting us rest our hands.
1459: Assassin's Creed IV: And we are ready to go!
1500: The open world has over 50 locations, and is really able to be explored. And 3 major cities.
1500: The 50 locations are major locations.
1500: Over 70 smaller sand bar locations.
1501: You can customize and upgrade the ship.
1501: The collectibles are useful.
1502: The world in which Kenway interacts is amazing looking. The leaves and debris move out of your way as you move through the environment.
1503: The UI is hidden in a way that won't hurt play experience but will still be useful to the player. The levels are mini open world.
1503-05: Navel combat is amazing looking and alot more intuivite. The ships are a destructible environment. And study went into the ships to get them to deconstruct correctly. you can also board a ship in your own fashion.
1505: No navel multi.
1506: Assassin v assassin multi back. You can scope your own environment and settings for it.
1506: You can customize the look of Kenway and equip it to your way and fashion.
1507: You can scope out things like guns and you can to certain extent his abilities as well.
1507: Upgrading is true to pirate form in upgrading weapons first, then your assassin abilities.
1508: There will be an App extension on your iPad. Things like a map on the pad that can be live updated. You can also plunder the world and gain a fleet and can be controlled from the app.
1509: You can scope out this fleet to do things for you from the app.
1510: Not revealing much story in the way, but it will feature you as the main character now. And you are recruited by the Templar this time in order to research the life of Kenway. There will be more on Juno and the what not.
1511: This world is newly crafted but they do maintain the old roots that are known and loved to all the fans.
1511-12: There are optional environments in which you can bury deeper into. But new players can come in blind no worries.
1512: The focus on play as you want is refreshing. And the fact you can loot the world is a nice thing to know and laugh at.
1513: You are more than welcome to explore the world as is for you to know and love. And your fleet is your focus.
1514: There are lots of side activities that keep you engaged but also upgrade you at the same time.
1515: Looking at the game footage itself, it is very smooth looking and looks fresh and great. And the fact that it looks like you can touch the characters is amazing.
1515: Release Oct, 360, PS3, WiiU, XBO, PS4.
1517: Waiting on Thief now.
1520: Thief: On now.
1521: This is a reinvention of the franc.
1521: You can play own style. The game can adapt to you play style.
1522: Looking at the game now and it looks amazing running on the PS4. Nice and smooth.
1523-24: You can fully use the environment. The world does adapt like it did in the old games so that if looks dark when you are hidden, light when you are not. Sound also factors in on the surface you choose and at the speed you want to go through.
1524: You can enable or disable the UI if you want. And other features to make it more like a classic Thief title.
1525: You can use your space to figure out which way to solve out how to accomplish your mission.
1525: The game is being played as a live demo and it is very well running.
1526: If you choose even to be aggressive, staying to the shadows will still help you out fully.
1527: The items are built out to be useful in different ways, but there is no set it'll last this long type thing.
1527: Light also seems to factor into whether you'll be seen. Guards do notice it.
1528: There is no auto regenerate health or armor. You must heal.
1529: If you get noticed, the AI will search. No spot, safe, spot, not safe and will pursue.
1530: You are not one side or another in the greater conflict of the story.
1530: Rope arrow/ladder is back and useable in multiple ways.
1531: Demo is over, now to dive into what the game is speced at.
1532: Investigating your environment is a help to your player. But this is purely a FPS with small focus in others.
1533: You can disable additional options though like motion.
1534: The devs will not confirm about enemy battles as purely human. Releases nextgen only.
1535: Beyond next!
1539: Beyond Two Souls: And it's here.
1540: Ellen Paige was used as the full model of the character of Jody as well as given full credit as an actor would be.
1540: Game went into a film festival and was recognized.
1541: Very cinema feel to the game. Was done with intention.
1542: Character interaction is important. Story is a focus as Jody is recruited into the CIA to become a spy. But not much is given on this right now.
1543: Environment is dynamic and looks wonderful. And it also transfer to the player through the emotions of the character.
1544: Mastery of the character is a must, as it is in the experience. Emotional attachment to the character seems to be really built up.
1545: The mood is set, and your decisions are a real focus in those moments, el-la Heavy Rain type interactions.
1546: This game takes place over a few decades. And it does reflect on the characters history your choices.
1546: The game does not go in order of time. The game plays out of order.
1547: The environment does not right away show your choices right away.
1548: Gameplay is like....
1549: You can freely switch between the 2 characters. the other character plays more like a traditional game it seems, while Jody plays like a heavy rain character.
1549: He said we can drive a car folks! Drive a car!!!
1550-51: The 2 characters need to co-op. And the conflict builds between the characters and your choices affect that.
1551: The fact that Jody wants to lead a normal life does affect the gameplay and story.
1552: Six axis is used on the PS3.
1552: Looking at the same trailer now from the PS4 conference.
1553: Still talking about the trailer.
1554: Character might be able to die. But the story has no end just like in Heavy Rain.
1554: Waiting to get back onto the point of Beyond.
1556: Company wants to try and make people laugh during the tech demos.
1556: Oct 8, PS3 release.
1603: ChronoBlade: Android MMO, running on the Ouya!
1605: Action RPG side scrolling brawler game. Stuff like Dungeon Fighter Online.
1606: Graphics resemble current gen stuff, but it has a very smooth feel. Nice blend between modern aesthetics with classic. Two playables right now, four slated for future releases.
1608: Ouya talk slowly crawls in. Nothing substantive other than merely being a fresh market to jump into.
1612: Futther gameplay sort of reveals a bit of, hmm, last-gen, current gen vibe. Doesn't seem particularly bad, but not outstanding either.
1615: Demo is survival single player or coop. Probably will develop into a nice mix between a standard beat-em-up and a fully featured f2p MMO.
1616:Closed beta right now. Open beta coming soon on Chronoblade.com
1617: Destiny coming up!
1624:Replaying the demo from the Sony reveal.
1626: Just some story fluff, but they're hinting at multiple planets that you can explore.
1627: "Fireteam" = Party.
1629: Everyone gets a Ghost (Pet floating ball thing that pushes you towards content.) Cool, was kinda' worried about it being class specific, hah. Speaking of which, 3 classes and 3 races. Races are cosmetic. Classes are not. Hunter, titan and warlock.
1630: Class abilities have overlap in theory.
1632: Upper limit of characters per screen is demo'd at 7, three different fire-teams enter into the public event on different ships. Everyone gets a personal ship and a bike!
1634: Cool, it won't be like APB and does have multiple hitboxes.
1636: Private space (you and your fireteam) and public space is seamless but you're notified of what kind of zone it is.
1637: What kind of vehicles will be available? That hoverbike, your personal ship. This game will have a hub city and you use your personal ship "sparrow". No details on what kind of vehicles really.
1638: Destiny is NOT on PC right now and they're not going to freaking talk about it. :\
1641: 2014 release.
1647: Call of
1648: We're under da sea, hunting for water whales. America is suddenly like it is in eSports competitions: Not anywhere near the top.
1649: I'm waiting for a dolphin to fuck either you or your brother in the ass at this point.
1650: Okay, I'm glad that the devs have a little sense of humor. So far, nothing new though. Honestly, you can tell that we all know that it's hard to take it seriou- DOG MODE. NASUS HAS SLAIN AN ENEMY.
1652: Talking about how exciting dogs are. I want a gun that shoots dogs. Ghost dogs. Under the sea. Also, this game is clearly inspired by Nintendogs. I feel the desire to use the Kinect to interact with it.
1653: Dog cam no scope ban this filthy shit 420.
1654: Dog confirmed to be devouring a real mocap man.
1656: Dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog.
1657: Dog is 80% of questions.
1658: It's an underDOG story. (I'm not making this shit up.)
1659: Limited resources, but unlimited dog bites.
1703: LocoCycle We are are bringing out Tom Clancy's Loco Cycle. Well played.
1704: Okay, it's crazy. Iris is a sentient piece of
1705: Motorcycle es numero uno HUE HUE HUE HUE. XBOne launch title.
1707: Good news. Dev is hot as shit. Bad news. Just show us the game. A trailer, anything. Not gonna lie, oh my god, Loco Cycle actually opened up hillarious. Oh my god, he's actually being dragged. This is actually wonderfully silly.
1708: I said actually a lot, but seriously. Man being dragged by motorcycle. All luddites praise this as an accurate depiction of the coming tech-ocalypse.
1709: Iris is the name of the motorcycle. Probably a Reploid. Probably had sex with zero. No comment on dev's end.
1711: First game of E3 not to shit itself about multiplayer! Has none. Cool.
1712: PABLO CONFIRMED TO NOT SPEAK A LICK OF ENGLISH. SO HYPED.
1718: Daylight. DO NO MIX WITH DYING LIGHT or... any other light.
1719: Oh shit, proceedurally generated survival horror game. It has the atmosphere of Silent Hill with less fog. The game is 'impossible to demo'.
1720: You walk around with a compass that's actually an iphone. The game seems a lot like Amnesia. Opens doors like Amnesia, except you have a cell phone light. (No oil, wonder if the thing runs out of batteries.)
1722: The goal of the game is to figure out why the fuck you're in this personal hell that lives and breathes to screw with you.
1724: PS4 and on PC, beginning of 2014! Ooh, you can get a glostick.
1725: Like Amnesia, no weapons! YES YES YES.
1726: You can disperse ghosts in some shape or form if you have the stuff. Ghosts don't fuck with you in the demo though, so we'll see if they implement a form of invisible terror that is requisite for a truly horrifying experience.
1730: I feel like this game has a lot of potential, but the B reel is mostly just wandering around without a lot of terror. They've got a magnificent premise though.
1733: PS4 and PC early 2014.
1741: BandFuse: Rock Legends No crowd, but real instruments. 4 player. Guitar and vocal.
1742: Tuning.
1743::Left scrolling fret for guitar. Numbers to signify the frets. Vocals get what keys they need to sing in. Seems pretty accurate and smooth, but it's hard to judge since I'm not a baller at guitar. Little grid shows you what frets you're holding down too.
1749: Seems like it hits the right notes in terms of being informative. Plugs into an amp. Uses the color codes from other guitar games and converts them to the real parts/. Supports bass and vocals as shown.
1753: DLC planned. Upscaling background tracks. Assists lessen as your difficulty gets higher.
1756: The stream is slightly out of sync with the audio, but you can tell the guys who are doing well are getting scored properly. This game looks like a legit way to learn guitar, seriously.
1758: Has tour mode, but also a free-music mode.
1759: July 1st release date announcement. 180 with a guitar right now.
Alright guys, done with the whole day. Hope you enjoyed the good, the bad and the dogs. Questions? Comments? Whatever. Drop it like its bass.
